CFS-553 methyltrimethoxysilane is one of the most common crosslinkers. This alkyl silane is normally acting as a crosslinking agent for the preparation of RTV (Room Temperature Vulcanized) silicone rubbers. CFS-553 is also an important intermediate for coating polymers and a surface modifier for glass fiber. It is well-known as the equivalent of Momentive Silquest*A-1630 or Dynasylan® MTMS.
CFS-553 is normally used as a cross-linking agent and an intermediate for silicone rubbers and organic silicone compounds. It also performs as a constituent of silica gels and silicone resins.
CFS-553 can also be used for fillers treatment and surface modification. It's especially suitable for surface treatment of glass fiber.
CFS-553 can act as a cross-linking agent for room temperature vulcanized silicone rubber and a treating agent for reinforced plastic laminated products.
