In the electroplating process, waste gas containing a variety of harmful substances will be generated, such as acidic gas, alkaline gas, organic solvent vapor and heavy metal particles. If these waste gases are directly discharged into the atmosphere, they will cause serious pollution to the environment and endanger the health of the workers. Therefore, it is very important to treat the waste gas in the electroplating workshop. The following is a set of parameter solutions for waste gas treatment in the electroplating workshop:
1..Waste gas collection system design :

1)Design a reasonable local exhaust hood and a comprehensive ventilation system to effectively capture the waste gas generated

2)ensure that the exhaust volume is sufficient to meet the capture needs of pollutants in the workshop. It is generally recommended to calculate it according to 6-10 air changes per hour.

3)The pipeline design should consider reducing resistance losses and ensure smooth airflow.
2. Pretreatment of waste gas
- Use a spray tower or a packed tower to wash the acidic and alkaline waste gas to remove **" some water-soluble pollutants.
For waste gas containing heavy metal particles, pre-dust removal should be carried out through a cyclone dust collector or a bag dust collector.
3. Main treatment technology
Acidic and alkaline waste gas: Use a wet scrubber, such as a packed tower or a spray tower, to neutralize the acidic waste gas with an alkaline solution (such as sodium hydroxide solution), or use an acidic solution (such as sulfuric acid solution) to neutralize the alkaline waste gas.
Organic solvent vapor: Use activated carbon adsorption or photocatalytic technology for treatment. Heavy metal particles: After pre-dust removal, high-efficiency filter materials can be further used for deep purification
