Ozone generators are safest when used in an empty environment. Before turning the machine on, make sure that there are no people or animals in the room and that indoor plants have been removed.
In low concentrations, ozone devices can be used safely at home to remove smoke from cooking, cleaning or sanitising the air for breathing and removing cigarette smoke.
Ozone generators run for various amounts of time, according to the specifications of the manufacturer. Depending on the size of the space, it may take anywhere between 3 and 10 hours. A complete house will require approximately 30 hours of continuous ozone production to eliminate the toxins.
Ozone exists in the air for 30 minutes or up to 4 hours before evaporating back to oxygen. Higher concentrations of ozone evaporate within 3–4 hours, while lower levels may evaporate within 2 hours. Fortunately, when you use our flagship model (OC1500 NATURAL CLEANER) you do not have to wait as our machine converts access ozone gas into breathable oxygen and you can use and enter the room immediately afterward.
Please note – There is a noticeable presence of ozone smell after use which feels cleansed and fresh.
Always use an ozone machine with a shutdown timer, which will turn off when its task has been completed. The machines we supply are fitted with this feature. To add more safety, some of our machines also actively remove any ozone gas left from its use and convert it into breathable and clean oxygen.
If you use an ozone generator for the first time, make sure you read the instructions carefully. Close all of the windows in your house and turn on the ozone generator as directed. We provide full verbal and written instructions and we can be contacted via the contact details above for any advice.
You will then need to leave the area, allowing the ozone to do its job. The OC1500 NATURAL CLEANER has a flashing light to alert anyone of its operation and a buzzer to confirm the completion of the cycle including the removal of any residue ozone gas.
