The grid screen is the simplest cleaning device, made of only a few steel bars welded together. The main function is to prevent larger impurities such as mud, stones and ropes from entering the discharge opening to prevent blockage of the feed and downstream conveying and processing equipment; and to prevent feeders from falling into the feeding opening to protect personnel. The grid screen is the first cleaning equipment and should be set at almost every feeding opening, such as the main plant main and auxiliary material feeding opening and the manual feeding opening for additives next to the batching scales.

The gap of the grid screen should be determined according to the different discharge outlets and the different materials. Such as the main feed workshop, maize, powder auxiliary materials of the grille spacing in about 30mm. For the maize inlet in front of the standing silo, the screen gap can be larger due to the large output required. For cake material, the gap between screens should be around 40 mm due to its poor dispersion.
The material used to make the grid screen can be made of flat steel with a thickness of 2mm to 3mm and a width of 10mm to 20mm or welded round steel with a diameter of 10mm. The grid screen should be fixed at the inlet and ensure an inclination of 8-10 degrees in order to pour the material out of the bag and reduce the material labour intensity.
The cleaning screen is the main equipment for cleaning and clearing the feed mill. Commonly used are cylindrical primary cleaning sieve, conical cleaning powder sieve and plane cyclone vibrating screen.
Granule & Cylinder Precleaner
The cylinder primary sieve is not suitable for powder, mainly because the powder is less scattered than the particles, and it is easy to accumulate and block the feeding chute, so that the production cannot be carried out smoothly. Cylinder primary cleaning sieve has a simple structure, small volume, large output, small power, easy installation and maintenance, etc., The sieve cylinder suitable for the sieve hole can be selected according to the nature of the material.
The cone powder cleaning screen is mainly used for the clearing of powdered raw materials in feed factory, which can effectively remove the larger impurities mixed in the powder and break up the caked powder.
The feeding of the cleaning sieve is forced by a screw, so that the powder enters the horizontal sieve cylinder smoothly and avoids blockage of the powder during transport. Because of the radial spokes in the device, impurities such as rope heads tend to be entangled in the work and are not easy to clear. But in general, this model has the advantages of compact structure, easy installation, high efficiency in removing impurities, reliable work, smooth operation and convenient net changing.
The planar rotary vibrating screen can be used for the cleaning of granular materials and also for the cleaning of powdery materials. As a cleaning screen, it can effectively remove large impurities from raw materials. The unit replaces the screen surface from above, saving the space occupied by screen replacement. The screen surface is fixed by snap fasteners and is very easy to operate for screen replacement. Flat rotary vibrating screen as a clearing screen, compared with the first two devices, the adaptability to the material, high efficiency in removing impurities, but the discharge opening is small, sometimes miscellaneous; the same processing capacity, it is power consumption, covers an area of larger, the price is higher, and easy to produce noise and vibration.
Magnetic separation equipment according to the type of magnet can be divided into electromagnetic equipment and permanent magnetic equipment. When the electromagnetic equipment is disconnected, iron debris will fall into the material, which is inconvenient to use. Therefore, permanent magnetic equipment is now used in feed mills.
