What are the technical performance and advantages of the 8K mirror grinder produced by LEBON? LEBON has always made breakthroughs in chemical technology, replacing polluting chemicals with environmentally friendly or natural materials. So far, we have reduced chemical polishing steps in the fine grinding process through a special rough grinding wheel process.
Literal definition of 8K: The corrosion resistance of stainless-steel white-steel depends on its alloy composition (Chromium, Nickel, Titanium, Silicon, Manganese etc.) and its internal structure, among which, Chromium element plays a decisive role, because it is normally located on the top surface of the steel. Chromium can form a passive film on the metal surface, which makes the metal isolated from the outside environment and stops its oxidation, enhancing its corrosion resistance. The "8" in 8K refers to the proportion of alloy components (304 stainless steel mainly refers to the content of Nickel) and "K" refers to the level of reflectivity after polishing (K level is the specular reflection level). 8K mirror is also the mirror-grade, embodied by Chromium-Nickel alloy-steel.
The thickness of the stainless-steel 8K/12k mirror panel can range from 0.3-100 mm, of which, 304 has the best effect, while BA is the most ideal grinding surface substrate.
8K stainless-steel is the surface, which is ground and polished like a mirror, having corrosion-resistant. The mirror plate is the substrate for subsequent processing into colored or etched plates. It is widely used in kitchens, bathrooms, elevators, jewelries, stamping accessory decorations, signboards, decorations, solar energy industries, home appliance panels, car interior and exterior decorations, logos, electronic products, and other industries.
Usually, 8K mirror polishing machine has a set of 8 grinding discs in each set; and a 8K machine production line needs 12-20 sets for grinding and polishing. Stainless-steel plates or rolls enter the 8K machine host in a pinch mode and the grinding discs in the host are rotated and ground at the same time. The plates or rolls stagger and sway from left to right to cover the whole surface area evenly. After grinding and polishing, the plate enters the cleaning and drying machine for cleaning and drying.
8K polishing requires the addition of an abrasive-grinding, processed by Nitric acid and Iron oxide (or Alumina). In pursuit of environmental protection, LEBON has always made breakthroughs in chemical technology, replacing polluting chemicals with environmentally friendly or natural materials. So far, we have reduced chemical polishing steps in the fine grinding process through a special rough grinding wheel process. At the same time, in the 6K mirror polishing process, we completely replaced the previous use of Nitric acid with an acid-free process, which met the requirements of complete environmental protection. At present, the acid-free process of 8K mirror has also achieved a success at laboratory level. We believe that LEBON will soon be able to bring this experimental success to the market as a commercial product. This will also be another worldwide pioneering and great contribution in the field of environmental protection.
