Dive into anything

I'm trying to DIY a door-activated light for a storage space. I'm planning to use a limit switch rated for mains voltage to activate said light. That part is simple enough, however, we also want to override that limit switch and turn the light on or off manually.

Basically, what I'm trying to achieve is this:

  • Limit switch ALWAYS turns on the light when depressed.

  • Limit switch ALWAYS turns off the light when released.

  • Override switch (preferably in the form of a common household switch) toggles the state of the light regardless of the state of the limit switch.

I can quite easily achieve this with a microcontroller, however, if at all possible, I want to find a simple solution that doesn't dip into electronics.

Can anyone suggest a simple circuit that can do the above, or at least give me a definitive "yes" or "no" to if it is at all possible without electronics?

Thanks!
